Una dulce tarjeta slider para La Pareja Creativa - A sweet slider card for LPC

¡Hola! Empiezo el mes de octubre con mucha energía y una tarjeta para el reto mensual de La Pareja Creativa. Esta vez Tina nos pide que creemos un proyecto interactivo y yo hice esta dulce tarjeta slider para felicitar a una amiga scrapera por su cumple...

Hi there! I'm starting October with lots of energy and a card for the monthly challenge at La Pareja Creativa. This time Tina asks us to make an interactive project, so I made this sweet slider card for a crafty friend's Birthday...

Tenía muchas ganas de estrenar algunos de los nuevos productos de La Pareja Creativa, como esos ositos tan adorables del set de sellos Osos Amigos. Quise retarme a crear una escena nocturna, así que los coloree en tonos oscuros, para acompañar al cielo estrellado del set de troqueles Noche Estrellada.

I was dying to try LPC's new products, like the adorable bears from the set Friendly Bears. I wanted to create a night time scene, so I colored them in dark tones that also suited the starry sky, cut with the Starry Night dies.

Como podéis ver en el gif animado, las estrellas se iluminan al tirar de la solapa... Usé este mismo efecto (lo llamo "Chibitronics lowcost", ji ji ji) para encender las luces de las casas en ESTA tarjeta navideña, que os mostré en el blog de La Pareja Creativa el año pasado.

As you can see from the animated gif, the stars light up, when you pull the tag... I used this same effect (I call it "Lowcost Chibitronics" ha ha ha) to turn on the house lights in THIS Christmas card that I showed you on LPC's blog last year.

El efecto se consigue con una simple tira de cartulina amarilla, adherida al panel slider. Una de las flechas del nuevo set de troqueles Flechas, me vino fenomenal para la solapita que cree con el troquel más pequeño del set Círculos Cosidos.

The effect is achieved with a simple strip of yellow cardstock glued to the slider panel. One of the arrows from the new die set Arrows, was perfect for the tag that I created with the smallest die from the set Stitched Circles.

Para el sentimiento usé el nuevo troquel Felicidades 2, ¡que me encanta! Por último añadí un par de flores troqueladas con el set Flores Navideñas (unos troqueles muy versátiles) en el mismo tono que la bufanda de uno de los ositos.

My sentiment was cut with the new die Felicidades 2, which I love! As a last detail, I added a couple of flowers cut with the set Christmas Flowers (a very versatile set of dies) in the same color as the bear's scarf.

El tiempo vuela cuando te lo pasas bien y así ha sido durante estos dos meses como diseñadora invitada de My Favorite Things. Hoy toca mi cuarta y última entrada y he preparado tres tarjetas con unos sellos y troqueles muy chulos; LLD Cup of Tea y Die-namics LLD Tea Party. Aquí os mostraré un paso a paso de la tercera de mis tarjetas...

Time flies by when you're having fun and that's exactly what has happened during these last two months as guest designer for My Favorite Things. Today is my fourth and last entry and I've created three cards using some really cool stamps and dies; LLD Cup of Tea and Die-namics LLD Tea Party. Here I'll show you a step by step tutorial of my third card...

Aparentemente es muy "clean and simple", pero si hacemos caso de la mini etiqueta colgada de la taza y tiramos...

It looks very clean and simple, but if you follow the instruction on the mini tea tag and pull...

...aparece una guirnalda con una bolsa de té muy especial.

...a garland with a very special tea bag appears.

En realidad es una mini shaker, ya que he llenado la bolsita formada por dos capas de papel vegetal grueso con micro beads y Distress Glitter marrón. Otra opción hubiese sido llenarla con alguna especia como orégano... La mini grapa es de papel plateado... el troquel para la bolsa de té es tan detallado que ¡la incluye!

It's actually a mini shaker, since I filled the bag (two layers of vellum) with micro beads and brown Distress Glitter. Another option would be to use a spice like oregano... The mini staple is actually silver paper. The tea bag die is so detailed that the staple is included!

Mis seguidoras ya me habéis visto usar esta estructura antes, en esta tarjeta que hice para el reto de febrero de A Tendiña do Scrap y en ésta otra que hice para Up & Scrap. A continuación os mostraré lo fácil que es hacer este tipo de tarjeta...

My followers have seen me use this structure before, in this card that I made for the February challenge at A Tendiña do Scrap and in this other one, that I created for Up & Scrap.

Empecé por crear la guirnalda usando piezas cortadas con los troqueles de los sets Die-namics Blueprints 15 (los corazones) y Die-namics LLD Tea Party (el resto de elementos). Usé hilo grueso (torzal) para el cordón.

I started by creating the garland using shapes that I cut with dies from the Die-namics Blueprints 15  (the hearts) and Die-namics LLD Tea Party (the rest of the elements) sets.

Busqué un troquel de círculo del tamaño adecuado para usar como plantilla...

I used a circle shape as a stencil...

...y tracé un semicírculo con un lápiz.

...and traced a semi-circle with a pencil.

Ahora, con la ayuda de un bisturí, corté la apertura y pegué almohadillas adhesivas gruesas (foam), en la parte del arco, para adherir la taza:

With the help of a craft knife, I cut the opening and attached thick foam squares on the arch shape in order to glue the tea cup on top of it.

En el reverso del panel también adherí almohadillas de la siguiente manera, dejando un cuadrado en el centro para albergar la guirnalda:

On the back of the panel, I also adhered foam squares in the following manner, leaving an empty square in the center to hold the garland:

No saqué fotos del montaje pero fue muy sencillo. Adherí el extremo de la guirnalda en el medio del cuadrado que no tiene almohadillas adhesivas con un poco de pegamento líquido y un trozo de celo y saque el resto de la guirnalda por el agujero, antes de retirar el papel protector a todas las almohadillas y adherir el panel a la base de mi tarjeta.

I didn't take pictures of the assembly, but it was very easy. I adhered the end of the garland (on the tea bag side) to the middle of the square with some liquid glue and tape and pulled the rest of the garland through the hole, before attaching the panel to my card base.

Listo. Una tarjeta sencilla y unisex con un bonito mensaje. Espero que visitéis el blog de MFT para ver las otras dos tarjetas y si venís de allí, ¡muchísimas gracias por la visita!

¡Hola! A pesar de que no dispongo de mucho tiempo para el scrap estos días, no podía dejar pasar la oportunidad de participar en el You Could be a Card Design Super Star Contest 2016 de My Favorite Things. Faltando seis horas para acabar el reto, hay ya 526 participaciones... ¡qué locura! Os muestro mi humilde tarjeta slider CAS para el concurso. A ver qué os parece:

Hi there! Even though I've been too busy to scrap these days, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to participate in MFT's You Could be a Card Design Super Star Contest 2016. There are six hours left and a staggering 526 participations so far... It's nuts! Here's my humble CAS slider card. I hope you like it:

Ya sé que os estáis diciendo... "¿pero, esto qué es? No se entiende nada." No se trata de un jeroglífico ni nada por el estilo, sino que el mensaje está oculto a simple viste y aparece al tirar de la solapita...

I know what you're thinking... "What in the world is this? I can't understand anything". Nope it's not a hieroglyph or anything like that. The message/sentiment is actually hidden in plain site and appears when the tab is pulled...

El año pasado, hice una tarjeta parecida para mi amiga scrapera Sonia y resultó igual de divertido y casi igual de complicado crear ésta...

Last year I made a similar card for my scrappy friend Sonia and it was just as much fun and almost as difficult as it was to make this one...

Enseguida os mostraré cómo la he hecho, pero primero quiero hablaros de los productos de My Favorite Things que he usado. Los papeles tan cuquis son de los packs de 6x6 pulgadas; Lucky Prints y Dots and Stripes Sorbet.

I'll show you a quick step by step in a moment, byt first I want to talk about the My Favorite Things products that I used. The sweet papers are from the Lucky Prints and Dots and Stripes Sorbet 6x6 packs.

El set de troqueles Die-namics LLD Emmit Alphabet es mi abecedario favorito y lo uso un montón. El troquel de falso cosido, el corazón y la estrella son del set Die-namics Blueprints 15, la nube del set Die-namics In the Clouds y la flecha y los mini corazones son del set Die-namics Blueprints 28.

The Die-namics LLD Emmit Alphabet die set is one of my all time favorites and I use it a lot. The faux stich rectangle, the heart and the star are from the Die-namics Blueprints 15 set, the cloud is from the Die-namics In the Clouds set and the arrow and mini hearts are from the Die-namics Blueprints 28 set.

Vamos a ver rápidamente cómo la hice:

Let's have a quick look at the making of:

Descubrí que resulta muchísimo más fácil crear este tipo de tarjetas si se adhieren temporalmente los troqueles a una hoja de papel cuadriculado con cinta de doble cara. Para que la cartulina que troquelaremos no se adhiera al pegamento expuesto, conviene espolvorear el conjunto con polvos de talco. Como se repetían algunas letras, tuve que troquelar el panel en dos pasadas. Adherí un trozo de papel adhesivo de doble cara Stick-it al mismo, antes de troquelarlo, para que resultase más fácil de adherir al acetato.

I discovered that it's a lot easier to create these types of cards if you temporaly adhere the dies to a sheet of graph paper with double sided tape. So that the cardstock won't stick to the exposed tape, it's best to brush some baby powder on top of it. As some of the letters were used twice, I had to die cut the panel in two passes. I adhered a piece of Stick-it double sided adhesive to the cardstock before doing that, so that it would be easier to adhere it to the sheet of acetate.

Calculé la altura en la que tenían que estar las tiras de papel estampado y las adherí a la hoja slider. Pegué el panel de letras al acetato y construí el canal slider con varias capas de tiras de cartulina. Podría haber usado foam adhesivo, pero así quedaba más limpito.

I calculated where I needed to place my strips of patterned paper and adhered them to the slider panel. I peeled of the release paper and glued the panel with the die cut letters to the acetate. I also made a channel for the slider with layered strips of cardstock. Another, easier option would have been to use foam adhesive, but this was a neater solution.

Cree un tope para el panel slider con dos tiras de plástico celofán (ver las últimas dos fotos del collage) y adherí el panel a una base de tarjeta.

So that the panel could slide only to where I wanted it to, I adhered two strips of celophane on the back of it (take a look at the last two pictures of the collage) and glued the complete panel to a card base.

Tarjeta interactiva para Sonia - An interactive card for Sonia

El domingo pasado acabé la tarjeta que más trabajo me ha costado en mi vida como tarjetera... quería hacer algo especial para mi amiga Sonia del blog WashiScrap Adicta y hasta que lo conseguí, no paré. No es que sea nada del otro mundo y se basa en una idea (y un mecanismo) muy simple, pero no había manera de que quedara como me la había imaginado en mi cabeza.

Last Sunday I finished the most difficult card that I have ever made in my life... I wanted to make something special for my friend Sonia from the blog WashiScrap Adicta and I didn't stop until I made it work. It's nothing out of this world, the idea and the mechanism are actually quite simple, but I just couldn't get it to work as I had imagined it.

Después de varios intentos fallidos, lo conseguí y aquí tenéis el resultado:

After a couple of failed attempts, I got it and here's the result:

"Uuuuah, ¿qué es esto?", diréis. "...el mensaje no tiene sentido". Pero para descifrarlo, solo tenemos que tirar de la solapa y... voilá:

"Aaaah, what's this?" you say. "...the message doesn't make any sense". But in order to decode it, you have to pull the tag and... voilá;

Ahora podemos leer: "eres una chica genial", porque es verdad... Sonia lo es... lo eres (sé que estás leyendo esto) ^_^

Now we can read: "You are a special gal". It's true, she is... Sonia, you are... (I know that you're reading this) ^_^

Next a couple of details of the card...

Una tarjeta destinada a "Doc" (la primera médica-scrapera que conozco) tenía que llevar algún elemento incrustado. Usé el tallo y la flor del set de troqueles "Fresh cut flowers" de Die-namics, igual que en mi tarjeta del día de la madre, que tanto le gustó a Sonia, muchos enamel dots...

A card for "Doc" (she's the first doctor-scrapper that I know) had to have some inserted element. I used the stem and the flower from the set "Fres cut flowers" by Die-namics, like I did in my Mother's Day card which Sonia really liked, plenty of enamel dots...

...y por supuesto washitape! El marco está decorado con embossing dorado y le da un toque más cálido a la tarjeta. Gracias a Elsa de Nikosinas por su asesoramiento :) ¡Hasta pronto!

Tarjeta mágica - A magical card

Una de las primeras personas que "conocí" en la blogosfera es Gemma del blog Guardiana de Momentos. Es una chica con un gran corazón, mucho arte (scrapeando y bailando) y mucho sentido del humor. El día 2 de septiembre estuvo de cumple y le mandé un paquetito con algo de retraso... La tarjeta que acompañaba el regalo es esta:
One of the first persons that I "met" in the blogosphere is Gemma from the blog Guardiana de Momentos. She's a kind-hearted and artistic person with a great sense of humour. Last 2 September it was her birthday and I sent her a small package which included this card:

A primera vista parece muy sosa, verdad? Se pasa de "clean and simple" je je... Esperad, hay que tirar de la solapa para ver la "magia"...
At first glance it looks quite dull, doesn't it? Too clean and simple, ha ha... Wait, you have to pull the tab to see the "magic" happen...

Al tirar de la solapa, vamos desvelando poco a poco el color...

When you pull the tab, the colour underneath is revealed, little by little...

... y voilá! Como por arte de magia la tarjeta se ha llenado de color.

Había visto este tipo de tarjetas antes, pero la que me enamoró fue la tarjeta ganadora del reto de agosto de Mama Elephant:
I had seen this type of cards before, but I really fell in love with this card that won the Mama Elephant August challenge:

Verdad que es una maravilla?! Su creadora se llama Anna Kossakovskaya y es una auténtica artista! Su blog Umichka es una delicia...lo malo es que el 99% está en ruso! Estudié tres años de ruso en el insti en Finlandia, pero no me entero de nada y los traductores online son bastante malos, así que disfruto de las fotos (impecables) de sus creaciones...
Isn't it wonderful?! Its creator, Anna Kossakovskaya, is a true artist! Her blog Umichka is a real treat... the only bad news is that 99% of it is in Russian! I studied three years of Russian back in high school in Finland, but I can't understand anything and the online translators are quite bad, so I just enjoy the perfect pictures of her creations...

Lo más difícil no fue averiguar el mecanismo de la tarjeta -como dijo mi hija Iris de casi ocho años: "Bah, eso está chupado! Es una cartulina blanca tapando el dibujo coloreado"- sino estampar sobre el acetato... al quinto o sexto intento me salió medianamente bien.
The most difficult thing wasn't to figure out the mechanism of the card - as my soon 8-year-old daughter burst out: "Piece of cake! It's a white piece of cardstock covering the coloured picture" - but stamping on the acetate... after five tries, it finally turned out OK.

El marco lo hice estampando un sello de textura de madera de Heidi Swapp encima de cartulina kraft con tinta memento "Rich cocoa". Una vez troquelado el marco, lo entinté con tinta Distress "Gathered twigs".
I created the frame stamping a Heidi Swapp wood texture stamp on kraft cardstock with "Rich cocoa" Memento ink. Once I die-cut the frame, I inked it with "Gathered twigs" Distress ink.

Para la plaquita estampé un sello de Simon Says Stamp sobre una tira de cartulina kraft y creé unas pegatinas-tornillo con unos circulitos embossados en oro a los que les hice unas muescas rascando con un alfiler... dan bastante el pego, jejeje...
For the plate, I stamped a small Simon Says Stamp sentiment on a strip of kraft cardstock and created a couple of sticker screws with gold embossed circles (I made the grooves scraping with a needle point)... they look quite realistic, don't they?

A Gemma parece que le gustó mucho la tarjeta y yo disfruté un montón haciéndosela ^_^ Por cierto, los gnomos son de un set de sellos llamado "You gnome me" de Mft stamps y los descubrí gracias a Anna del blog Full d' Scrap.
It seems like Gemma liked the card a lot and I enjoyed making it for her ^_^ By the way, the gnomes are from a set called "You gnome me" by MFT stamps and I discovered them thanks to Anna from the blog Full d' Scrap.
