Tarjeta de bebé con washi tape - A baby card with washi tape

Tengo que confesar que no soy muy amiga del washi tape... me encanta verlo en diferentes proyectos, pero me cuesta muchísimo usarlo de una manera original. Para el reto 54 de 3flowers nos pedían una tarjeta que incorporase esta cinta decorativa de papel o "celo japonés" y aquí tenéis la mía: 

I have to confess something... washitape is really not my thing... I love seeing it in different projects, but I find it difficult to use in a unique way. For challenge number 54 at 3flowers, they asked us to make a card with this japanese tape and here's mine:

Aproveché el reto para hacer una tarjeta de bebé para Alba, una preciosa niña que nació en noviembre. También le regalé una maletita de madera decorada con papeles de Echo Park Paper llena de ropita:

I took advantage of the challenge to make a baby card for Alba, a precious little girl who was born in November. I also gave her this wooden suitcase, that I decorated with papers from Echo Park Paper, filled with clothes:

Corté el panel de cartulina blanca, de la marca Neenah, con dos troqueles de Mama Elephant y aunque los tengo desde el "Black Friday" no los he usado hasta ahora. El lazo de washi tape fue cortado con un troquel del mismo set. 

I die cut the card panel (Neenah cardstock) using two dies by Mama Elephant and although I've had them since Black Friday, I hadn't used them until now. The bow was cut out of washitape with another die from the same set.

Las letras con purpurina rosa son pegatinas (puffy stickers) de Heidi Swapp y para la bonita frase he usado un sello del set "Contando estrellas" de Gigi et Moi, que embossé en oro. No tengo ni idea de qué marca son los washis que usé... 

The pink puffy sticker letters are from Heidi Swapp and for the beautiful sentiment ("May the stars light your way") I gold embossed a stamp from the set "Contando estrellas" by Gigi et Moi. I have no idea who made the washi tapes that I used...

A la mamá de Alba le encantó la tarjeta y espero que a vosotras también... Marco de fotos personalizado - Personalised picture frame

Por fin retomo el blog después de 18 días inactivos... la verdad es que he estado preparando unos cuantos proyectos, pero no os los podré enseñar hasta febrero ;) Será un mes muy especial para mí...

I'm finally back at the blog after a break of 18 days... the truth is that I have been busy preparing quite a few projects, but I can't show them to you until February ;) It will be a really special month for me...

Hoy os muestro un marco de fotos que he decorado para Mencía, una niña que nacerá muy prontito.

Today I'm showing you a picture frame that I decorated for Mencía, a baby girl that will be born soon.

El marco está pintado con un par de capas de "Chalk paint" de La Pajarita (el tono se llama "Sweet Cream"). He decorado las letras de madera de Docrafts con diferentes retales de papeles y la técnica de decoupage, que me encanta. Cada letra lleva tres capas de Glue n' seal (una especie de barniz tipo Mod Podge) para protegerlas del polvo y de la suciedad.

The frame is painted with a couple of layers of La Pajarita "Chalk paint" (the tone is called "Sweet cream"). I've decorated the wooden letters by Docrafts with different paper scraps using the decoupage technique, which I love. Each letter has three layers of Glue n' seal protective coating.

Las figuritas de madera, que he coloreado con rotuladores y tintas, son de Artemio. No quería que sobresaliesen demasiado para que el original y bonito nombre de la niña fuese perfectamente legible.

I've coloured the veneer embellishments by Artemio with markers and inks. I didn't want them to stand out too much so that the unique and beautiful name of the baby girl would be perfectly readable.

Tarjeta shaker en forma de estrella - A star-shaped shaker card

Llevaba ya unos días dándole vueltas a una tarjeta de apertura original para participar en el reto de febrero de la Pareja creativa, cuando recordé la tarjeta shaker que había hecho hace un tiempo por el nacimiento del segundo hijo de unos amigos...
I had been thinking about a card with a special folding or opening to participate in the February challenge of La pareja creativa for a few days now, when I remembered a shaker card that I made a while ago when our friends had their second baby...

Era perfecta, tanto para este como para el reto "Shake that thing - SPD13" de Sugar Pea Designs que este mes nos piden que hagamos una shaker (el plazo se acaba el 24 de marzo así que animaros a participar!).
It was perfect for this as well as for Sugar Pea Designs' "Shake that thing - SPD13" February challenge that consists of making a shaker card (you have until March 24, so please feel free to participate!)

Usé dos de las estrellas del set de troqueles "Puffy star" de Lawn Fawn para crear el marco de goma eva y la estrella más grande para el fondo de lunares (un papel estampado grueso de la colección "Baby Mine Boy" de Carta Bella) y la tarjeta azul de atrás (dos capas de cartulina azul y una de cartón fino).

I used two of the stars from Lawn Fawn's "Puffy star" set to make the frame of the card out of fun foam and the largest star die for the dotted backing of the card (a thick patterned cardstock from the "Baby Mine Boy" collection by Carta Bella) and for the blue star (two layers of thin cardstock and one layer of thin chipboard).

El sistema de apertura es muy sencillo... atravesé todas las capas de la tarjeta con un punzón para colocar un encuadernador (brad) que hace la función de eje. Estampé el texto "felicidades" con embossing plateado y dejé un poco de espacio para el mensaje personalizado.

The opening system is really simple. I poked a hole through all of the layers of the card and inserted a small brad that works as an axis. "Inside" the card, I stamped and silver embossed the sentiment "felicidades" (congratulations) and left a bit of space for a personalized message.

Llené la tarjeta con patitos y biberones que hice de plástico retráctil, lentejuelas plateadas y amarillas, mini cuentas azul clarito y mini estrellas plateadas. Al sacudirla suena como un sonajero!

I filled the card with ducks and feeding bottles that I made out of shrink plastic, silver and yellow sequins, small light blue beeds and mini silver stars. When you shake it it sounds like a rattle!

Layout rosa "Mi primer diente" - Pink "My first tooth" layout

La idea era presentar este layout para el reto de Kimidori, una nueva tienda de material de scrapbooking muy chula, pero llegué tarde así que aprovecho para incluirlo en el reto "Anything goes" Wednesday Challenge del blog de Simon Says Stamp.

The idea was to submit this layout for the challenge on Kimidori's blog, a new cool scrapbooking store, but I was too late, so I included it in the Simon Says Stamp blog's "Anything goes" Wednesday Challenge in stead.

Me encanta este troquel de cuttlebug. Es muy versátil ya que te permite cortar y colorear los elementos a tu gusto. Para este LO corté el bebé de cartulina blanca y lo coloreé con Distress Ink Tattered rose (para la piel) y "Vintage Pink” efecto tiza de Prima (para el pijamita). 

I love this die by Cuttlebug. It's very versatile since it allows you to cut and color the elements exactly like you want them. For this LO I die cut the baby from white cardstock and colored it with Tattered Rose Distress ink (for the skin) and Prima's "Vintage Pink" chalk ink for the pajamas.

También le recorté la boca al bebé, dejando un pequeño diente que coloreé con bolígrafo de gel blanco. Pegué un trocito de papel negro detrás del hueco de la boca para hacer resaltar el diente.

I also cut the mouth of the baby leaving a tiny tooth that I colored with a white gel paint. On the back side of the baby's head I glued a small piece of black paper to make the tooth really stand out.

Por último recorté un pequeño cepillo de dientes de cartulina blanca que entinté con tinta pigmentada y embosé con polvos de embossing transparentes.

Lastly I cut a small toothbrush out of white cardstock, inked it with pigment ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder.

Como no tenía letras adecuadas, lijé unas rojas de la colección “Head over heels” de BoBunny, las entinté con tinta rosa y las cubrí con Glossy Accents.

Since I din't have any suitable letters, I sanded the red letters from BoBunny's "Head over Heels" collection, inked them with pink chalk ink and covered them with Glossy Accents.

No soy muy amiga del rosa, pero me gusta bastante el resultado... ¡Hasta la próxima!
