Tarjeta CAS años 50 - A fifties-style CAS card

Hace un par de días me encargaron una tarjeta para regalar a una chica que cumple 50 añitos. Le preparé esta sencilla tarjeta que aprovecho para presentar al reto #71 de Addicted to CAS, cuya palabra clave es: azul. 

A few days ago, I was asked to make a Birthday card for a girl who's turning 50. I made her this simple card that I'm also submitting to Challenge #71 at Addicted to CAS with the code word: blue.

Me apetecía estrenar este divertido set de troqueles de Sizzix que compré en las mega rebajas de verano y esta era la ocasión perfecta:

I was looking forward to using this die set that I bought at the Sizzix Mega Summer Sale and this was the perfect occasion:

 

El televisor está compuesto por seis piezas y añadí una más (la antena plateada) que recorté de la pieza base y embosé para darle un poco más de volumen y gracia. Con este mismo fin, cubrí la pieza de la pantalla con una capa de Wink of Stella transparente y otra de Glossy Accents.

The TV is made up of six pieces and I added one more (the silver antenna) that I cut out from the base piece and embossed in silver to give it more volume and bang. With the same idea on my mind, I covered the screen piece with a layer of clear Wink of Stella and a coat of Glossy Accents.

Las letras también estan embosadas en plata con un par de capas para conseguir todavía más volumen...

The letters are also silver embossed with a couple of layers to give them even more volume...

El suelo, como os podéis imaginar, es simplemente una tira de washitape pegada encima de una tira de cartulina blanca. Añadí unas pegatinas de letras de Tim Holtz para escribir "happy", un corazoncito y ya está!

The floor, as you can imagine, is simply a strip of washi tape glued to a strip of white cardstock. I added a couple of Tim Holtz stickers to write "happy", a tiny heart and that's it!

¿Tarjeta ochentera? - An eighties-style card?

Es la primera vez que participo en uno de los retos de Runway Inspired y lo hago con una tarjeta bastante... ochentera. Al menos me recuerda a la estética de la mítica serie "Corrupción en Miami" con Don Johnson y Philip Michael Thomas.  

This is the first time that I participate in one of the Runway Inspired challenges and I do so with an... eighties style card. At least it reminds me of the famous TV-series "Miami Vice" starring Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas.

¿Verdad que es una preciosidad? Como podéis ver me he inspirado principalmente en las franjas negras blancas y grises que en un principio coloqué de forma horizontal mediante la técnica de incrustado, pero que después decidí girar 90 grados.También añadí una franja dorada para darle más "glamour" al diseño.

Isn't it just stunning? As you can see I was mainly inspired by the black, white and grey strips that I first placed horizontally with the inlay technique, but then decided to turn 90 degrees. I also added a golden strip to give the design a bit more "glamour".

Por fin pude usar mi troquel de flamenco de Echo Park Paper para un proyecto... El papel estampado que está detrás del ave es de la colección "Serendipity" de American Crafts y recoge muchos de los colores que aparecen en el fondo de la imagen de inspiración de este reto.

I was finally able to use mi flamingo die from Echo Park Paper for a project... The patterned paper that you can see behind the bird is from the collection "Serendipity" by American Crafts and displays many of the colours from the background of this challenge's inspiration picture.

Embosé el sello de Personal Mark en dorado y me encanta el resultado. Unas pocas lentejuelas para decorar y ya está. ¡Hasta la próxima!

I embossed the stamp by Personal Mark (Live, Dream, Love, Laugh) in gold and love the result. A couple of sequins to embellish the card and that's it. See you next time!

P.D. Con esta tarjeta también participo en el reto solidario de 3flowers ya que casi se ajusta a la medida de 14cm x 14cm que piden (mide 14,2 x 14,2) y tiene un sentimiento muy positivo.
P.S. With this card I also participate in the solidary challenge at 3flowers because it almost fits the required 6,6" x 6,6" size and has a really positive sentiment.
