Tarjeta CAS para el segundo "Scrapliftdúo" - A CAS card for the second "Scrapliftduo"

Para el segundo Scrapliftdúo organizado por Mireia y Anika, había que inspirarse en una de las tarjetas de Rocío de Veo Veo Scrapeo. Aquí tenéis mi versión...

For the second "Scrapliftduo" organized by Mireia and Anika, we had to draw inspiration from a card made by Rocío from the blog Veo Veo Scrapeo. Here's my version...

...de la preciosa tarjeta de Ro, a la que no le sobra ni le falta nada... es simplemente perfecta con ese bonito degradado, marco de cruces, grupo de enamel dots y llamativo sentimiento:

Como podéis ver, he usado la misma estructura pero cambiando los colores, materiales y elementos...

As you can see, I've used the same layout, but with different colours, materials and elements... 

Para el fondo usé un troquel de hexágonos de Kesi' Art y un papel estampado con un degradado que creo que es de Dear Lizzy...

For the background I used a hexagon die by Kesi' Art and a paper with ombre effect that I think is by Dear Lizzy...

Adherí cada uno de los hexágonos directamente sobre la base de la tarjeta con almohadillas adhesivas usando el positivo ("la red de gallinero") como plantilla. Estampé la palabra "Cumpleaños" de un set de sellos de "Con Sal y Pimienta" con tinta StazOn sobre una tira de vellum que adapté al fondo y a continuación os mostraré como troquelé la tira con la palabra "FELIZ"...

I adhered the hexagons one by one directly to the card base with adhesive foam squares using the die cut (chicken fence) as a stencil. I stamped the word "Cumpleaños" (Birthday) from a set by "Con Sal y Pimienta" to a strip of vellum with black StazOn ink and next I'll show you how I die cut the sentiment strip with the word "FELIZ" (happy)...

Corté una tira de cartulina negra (que adherí temporalmente a una hoja cuadriculada que usé como guía) del ancho de la base de la tarjeta y tracé una línea recta a 5mm del borde con un portaminas.

I cut a strip of black cardstock (that I temporarily adhered to a piece of gridded paper to use as a guide) of the same width as my card base and traced a straight line 5mm from the edge with a ledholder (mechanical pencil).

Coloqué los troqueles de letras sobre la línea trazada y los adherí temporalmente con tiras de celo. Hice un corte parcial, colocando la tabla de corte superior como en la imagen anterior.

I placed the alphabet dies on the line and temporarily adhered them with some tape. I made a partial cut, placing the upper cutting mat as you can see in the above picture.

Ahora con un bisturí y una regla corté la tira sin cortar las letras. La línea trazada anteriormente como guía para colocar los troqueles, ya no sirve para nada. Hay que cortar más arriba...

Now I cut the strip and the space between the letters with a craft knife. The previously traced line that I used to place the dies, is no longer useful. The cut must go higher up...

...y ya está! ¿Verdad que queda bien? Aunque acabo de ganar un maravilloso lote de enamel dots en el sorteo de Isa de Happy Cardmaking, no traía ninguno rosa así que los he sustituido por unas lentejuelas. 

... and that's it! Doesn't it look good? Although I just won a fantastic give-away of enamel dots by Isa from Happy Cardmaking, there were no pink ones and I was out of them so I used sequins instead.

Layout para el primer reto "Scrapliftduo" - Layout for the first "Scrapliftduo" challenge

No suelo hacer scraplifts pero me apetecía mucho participar en el reto propuesto por Mireia de My Sweet Things y Anika de Bonico de Corazón, dos pedazo artistas a las que tengo mucho aprecio. Se les ocurrió retarse/nos a hacer un scraplift de un layout de una de sus scraperas favoritas, Christin Gronnslett y lo llaman "Scrapliftduo". Yo ya tenía su blog Umenorskan en mi lista de blogs favoritos... Christin tiene un estilo inconfundible y es una maestra con las tintas y plantillas.
I don't usually do scraplifts but I really wanted to participate in the challenge that Mireia from My Sweet Things and Anika from Bonico de Corazón came up with. They are two really talented artists that I hold in high esteem. The girls suggested scraplifting a layout made by one of their favourite scrapbookers, Christin Gronnslett's and called the challenge: "Scrapliftduo". I already had her blog Umenorskan in my list of favourite blogs... she has a unique style and her use of inks and stencils is out of this world.

Como podéis observar, he colocado los cuadrados en el lado izquierdo y de forma vertical, en lugar de seguir su layout a rajatabla.
As you can see I placed the squares vertically on the left hand side instead of making an exact copy of her layout.

Partí de un papel de acuarela de 29,7cm x 29,7 cm que manché con una mezcla de agua, Gelatos y tintas Distress. Mezclé Gold Champagne con Mustard Seed, Metallic Mint con Tumbled Glass y Metallic Melon con Worn Lipstick.
I started with an almost 12"x12" watercolour paper that I stained with a mixture of water, Gelatos and Distress inks. I blended Gold Champagne with Mustard Seed, Metallic Mint with Tumbled Glass and Metallic Melon with Worn Lipstick.

Después de salpicar tinta china negra (qué miedo!), aplicar un poco de textura con tinta Distress y tres diferentes plantillas y crear mis propias "photo corners" con papel, tinta Versamark y polvos de embossing, el layout ya empezaba a tomar forma...

After splattering black Indian ink (so scary!), applying some texture with Distress Inks and three different stencils and making my own photo corners with paper, Versamark ink and Embossing powders, the layout was beginning to take shape...

Elegí esta divertida foto, de mis hijos jugando encima de mi toalla en la playa, montada sobre dos diferentes papeles de la colección "Something wonderful" de Teresa Collins:
I chose this fun picture of my kids playing on my towel at the beach, mounted on two different panels from the collection "Something wonderful" by Teresa Collins:

Estampé y embosé uno de los sellos de la marca Personal Mark en oro para el cuadrado de tonos dorados y lo decoré con corazones troquelados y enamels a juego.
I stamped and gold embossed one of the stamps from a set by Personal Mark (it says "Small things that make me happy each day") on the square with gold hues and embellished it with matching die cut hearts and enamel shapes.

Para el cuadrado rosa, además de enamels y formas troqueladas, usé una pegatina con el texto "together" (juntos) y estampé unos sellos de letras como de máquina de escribir antigua de Hero Arts que cubrí con Glossy Accents. ¡Me encanta como quedaron! Por último dibujé unas líneas con un Pilot negro para completar los marcos del layout.
For the pink square, besides enamel dots and die cut shapes, I used a sticker with the word "together" and stamped some alphabet stamps that look like old typewriter keys by Hero Arts and covered them with Glossy Accents. I love how they turned out! Lastly I drew some lines with a black pen to complete the frames of the layout.

Aquí tenéis una foto en la que se aprecia el volumen de los adornos, aunque en general es un layout bastante plano en el que no usé almohadillas adhesivas, por ejemplo.
In this picture you can see the volume of the embellishments, although the layout is quite flat. I didn't use double-sided foam tape for example.
