Tarjeta Halloween con sellos no específicos - A Halloween card using everyday stamps

Desde que nacieron mis hijos, vivimos el Halloween (en Galicia lo llamamos "Samaín", una celebración del final de la temporada de cosechas) con mucha ilusión. Este año, gracias a mi colaboración con My Favorite Things en agosto, tengo bastante material scrapero con esta temática, aunque hoy voy a enseñaros una tarjeta que hice sin material específico.

Ever since my children were born, we've been enthusiastically celebrating Halloween (here in Galicia, we call it "Samain", a festival marking the end of the harvest season). This year, thanks to my collaboration with My Favorite Things in August, I have a lot of Halloween-themed material. Nevertheless, today I will show you a card that I made with regular stamps.

Usé cuatro sets de la marca Waffle Flower y me inspiré en esta imagen de su reto de octubre para crear mi graciosa tarjeta:

I used four sets from Waffle Flower and was inspired by their October challenge image to create my fun little card:

Empecé estampando parcialmente esa flor del set Flower Circles, que se convertiría en la calabaza pequeña:

I started by partially stamping the pumpkin-like flower from the Flower Circles set. 

Después la enmascaré y estampé del revés el sello más grande, del set 100% Love en naranja:
Then I masked it and stamped the back side of the largest stamp from the 100% Love set in orange:

Para el trigo usé dos de los sellos del set Wild & Free, que me enamoró en cuanto lo vi. Entinté mi panel ligeramente con tintas Distress y un pincel de cerdas muy suaves (Clarity Stencil Brush) y lo troquelé con el troquel más grande del set Rectángulos cosidos A6 de La Pareja Creativa.

For the wheat I used two of the stamps from the Wild & Free set (it was love at first sight). I lightly inked my panel with Distress inks and a Clarity Stamp brush and die-cut it with a stitched rectangle die from La Pareja Creativa.

Los personajes principales son del sel set Willy & Friends y una vez estampados, los tunee con un rotulador Copic multiliner de 0,1. La graciosa arañita-flor es del mismo set que la calabaza pequeña y el sentimiento es de un set de My Favorite Things. Coloree todo con mis rotuladores Copic, añadí un par de lentejuelas y ya está.

The main characters are from the Willy & Friends stamp set and after I stamped them, I used a Copic 0,1 multiliner pen to add the "scary" details. The funny spider-flower is from the same set as the smaller pumpkin and the sentiment is from a set by My Favorite Things. I coloured everything with Copic markers, added a couple of sequins and that's it.

Ese papel de fondo con glitter es de un set de 30 x 30 cm de My Mind's Eye ("Lost & Found 3") que compré hace mucho tiempo y que he usado sobre todo para hacer cosas de Halloween y tarjetas masculinas. 

The striped glitter paper is from a 12x12 set by My Mind's Eye ("Lost & Found 3") that I bought a long time ago and that I've used mainly for Halloween projects and masculine cards. 

Con esta tarjeta también participo en el reto de octubre de Copic Marker Spain y el Reto 16 - Otoño de Colouring in Scrapland.

Mi segundo proyecto para: / My second project for the: Waffle Flower 2017 Catalog Challenge

Hace dos meses publiqué mi primer proyecto para el reto Waffle Flower 2017 Catalog Challenge usando los troqueles de letras Jumbo Letters y hoy vengo con el segundo... un marcapáginas sencillo y colorido.

Two months ago, I published my first project for the Waffle Flower 2017 Catalog Challenge using the Jumbo Letter dies and today I'm back with a second one... a simple and colorful bookmark.

Troquelé parcialmente el troquel grande del Surface-Tag Die-Starter Kit en papel de acuarela, alargándolo un pelín y estampé sellos del set Willy & Friends en amarillo, coral y menta para crear un fondo divertido.

I partially die cut the large die from the Surface-Tag Die-Starter Kit out of watercolor paper, making it slightly longer. Then I stamped some of the stamps from the Willy & Friends set in yellow,. coral and aqua to make a fun background.

Las Jumbo Letters las troquelé en cartulina de colores con un trozo de hoja adhesiva Stick-it por detrás, para que resultasen más fáciles de adherir. El sentimiento "every day" es del set de sellos In Every Way, con el que se pueden formar un montón de frases.

I die cut the Jumbo Letters out of colorful cardstock with Stick-it adhesive on the back, so that they would be easier to adhere. The sentiment "every day" is from the stamp set In Every Way, which is perfect for making a whole bunch of phrases.

Pues eso es todo... Si tenéis curiosidad por el libro, se trata de la cuarta entrega de la saga Milenio, "Lo que no te mata te hace más fuerte" de David Lagercrantz y está en sueco.

DT invitada en Waffle Flower por su reto de julio- Guest designer at Waffle Flower for their July challenge

¡Holaaaa! Hoy vengo a mostraros una tarjeta muy veraniega que hice como inspiración para el reto de julio de Waffle Flower usando su precioso troquel Doily Circle Die.
Hello! Today I'm here to show you a very summer-themed card that I made as inspiration for Waffle Flower's July Challenge using their beautiful Doily Circle Die.

Tuve la gran suerte de ganar el reto de mayo con ESTA divertida tarjeta...
I was very lucky to win their May challenge with THIS fun card...

...así que me invitaron a crear algo para su reto de julio y en cuanto vi la imagen de inspiración:
...so they invited me to make something for their July challenge and as soon as I saw the inspiration pic:

...sabía lo que quería hacer; estrenar el precioso troquel e incrustar todas esas mini piezas para darle otro aire, como de mosaico.
...I knew what I wanted to do; use that lovely die for the first time and inlay all of those tiny pieces to give it a mosaic-like look.

Fue un proceso minucioso pero muy divertido y con la ayuda de unas pinzas y la herramienta "Pick-me-up" de Silhouette, acabé en un plis.
It was a fun although detailed process but with the help of a pair of tweezers and Silhouette's "Pick-me-up" tool, I finished in no time.

Troquelé la palabra Congrats varias veces y las superpuse para que tuviera un poco de volumen. Para la última capa usé cartulina dorada, al igual que para el panel de la tarjeta. Añadí un par de cristalitos turquesa y ya está.
I die cut the word Congrats a couple of times and glued them on top of each other to give the sentiment some volume. For the last layer, I used gold metallic cardstock. I added a couple of turquoise gemstones and that's it.

Una tarjeta musical graciosa - A fun musical card

Tenía muchas ganas de compartir esta divertida tarjeta que hice combinando los requisitos de dos retos, el reto de mayo de Waffle Flower, basado en una imagen y paleta de inspiración, que os mostraré enseguida, y el "Reto desvanero número 14", cuyo tema este mes es la música. 

I was really looking forward to sharing this fun card that I made combining two challenges, the May challenge at Waffle Flower, based on an inspiration picture and colour palette, and challenge number 14 at Mi desván de artesana, featuring "music".

Ja ja ja, ¿no os parece divertida? La cara del mono sentado en esa butaca y la mirada de la oveja curioseando por la ventana me hacen mucha gracia. La mona realmente está "bailando como si nadie la estuviera mirando" aunque en realidad no es así... 

Ha ha ha, don't you find it amusing? The face of the sitting monkey and the gaze of that curious sheep really crack me up. The girl monkey is truly dancing "like no one's watching", although that isn't the case...

Así vista de enfrente podemos apreciar mejor los detalles de mi tarjeta. Los monos son del set "Willy & Friends" y la oveja y el ratón del set "Monochrome" de Waffle Flower. Los coloree con rotuladores Copic. Vamos a ver la imagen de inspiración de uno de los retos y después os sigo contando cosillas:

In this frontal view you can better appreciate all the details of my card. The monkeys are from the set "Willy & Friends" and the rest of the animals are from the "Monochrome" stamp set, both by Waffle Flower. Let's take a look at the inspiration picture and then I'll continue telling you things about my card:

Me pareció una foto tan bonita que quise recrear ese ambiente y algunos de los detalles en mi tarjeta, empezando por la floreada butaca, que dibujé a mano (o más bien calqué)...

I thought the photo was so pretty, that I felt like recreating the atmosphere and some of the details in my card, beginning with the flowered armchair, that I drew (or traced) myself...  

... y estampé con flores de los sets de sellos "Magical" y "Willy & Friends". Coloree algunas de las flores con rotuladores Copic y por último añadí algunas hojas..

...and stamped with flowers from the set "Magical" and "Willy & Friends". I then coloured some of the flowers with Copic markers and lastly added some leafs.. 

  

Aunque la butaca no es calcada a la original, estoy bastante contenta con el resultado. En esta foto también podéis ver mejor el suelo, que está hecho con tiras de papel, entintadas con tinta Distress "Antique linen" y pegadas a la base de la tarjeta.

Although the chair is not an exact copy of the original, I'm quite happy with the result. In this picture, you can also get a closer view of the floor, made with strips of paper that I inked with "Antique linen" Distress ink and adhered to the cardbase.

Corté las notas con un troquel que gané en uno de los retos de Rebeca de Mi desván de artesana y que me vino de perlas para participar en este. ¡Me alegro mucho de que ya vayas por el décimo cuarto reto, chiquilla!

I cut the music notes with a border die that I won in one of Rebeca's challenges. It was perfect for this challenge!  

Por último un detalle de esa curiosa oveja que me tiene enamorada... ¿qué estará pensando? La ventana fue cortada con un troquel de Mama Elephant, aunque la tuve que recortar un pelín para que me entrara bien en la escena. El marquito de color cobre es un componente de joyería que decoré con papel.

Lastly, a closer look at the curious sheep, that I adore. I wonder what it's thinking... I cut the window using a die by Mama Elephant, although I had to trim it a bit so that it would be able to fit in my scene. The copper-coloured frame is a jewellery component, which I decorated with paper.

Tarjeta con acuarela para Waffle Flower - A card featuring watercolour for Waffle Flower

Como sabéis, me encanta el estilo y la calidad de los sellos y troqueles de la marca Waffle Flower. Para su reto mensual de marzo, nos proponen usar acuarelas y además, como siempre, nos dan una foto y un boceto para inspirarnos. He hecho esta sencilla tarjeta con papel de acuarela y tintas Distress...
As you know, I love the style and quality of the Waffle Flower stamps and dies. The technique for their March challenge is watercolours and as always, they give us a picture and a sketch for inspiration. I made this simple card with watercolour paper and Distress inks...  

Me encanta la combinación acuarela+oro así que decoré cada círculo con una forma troquelada en cartulina dorada.
I love the combination of watercolour+gold so I decorated each circle with a golden die cut shape.

El mini lazo, el bocadillo y la palabra "love" son de Waffle Flower. En realidad el sentimiento completo es "With love" pero con dos cortes, se pueden separar las palabras fácilmente...
The Tiny Twine Bow, the Tiny Word Bubble and the word "love" are by Waffle Flower. Actually the complete sentiment is "With love", but with two snips, you can separate the words easily... 

Para crear el fondo, dividí el papel de acuarela -troquelado con los nuevos Cuadrados cosidos de La Pareja Creativa- en nueve trozos y estampé el sello de la colección Flower circles de Waffle Flower con tinta Archival Ink negra, Después pinté los círculos con un pincel y tinta Distress y rocié todo con bastante agua...

To create the background, I divided the watercolour paper, cut with the stiched square die from LPC, into nine segments and stamped the round grid shape from the Flower circles collection with Black Archival ink. Then I painted the circles with a paint brush and Distress inks and misted everything with plenty of water...

Diseñadora invitada en Waffle Flower - Guest designer at Waffle Flower

Hoy vengo con otra sorpresita... ¡En diciembre gané mi primer reto de tarjetas en EEUU! Se trata del reto de diciembre de Waffle Flower. La verdad es que sólo participamos nueve personas, pero me hizo mucha ilusión igualmente. Además de poder elegir un set de sellos como premio, las chicas de Waffle Flower me invitaron a crear un proyecto de inspiración para su reto de Febrero...

Today I'm back with another surprise... I won my first card challenge in the US, the Waffle Flower December challenge! The truth is that only nine persons participated, but nevertheless I was very excited. Besides being able to chose a set of stamps as a prize, the girls at Waffle Flower invited me to create an inspiration project for their February challenge...

Here's the card that I made and I'll explain what the challenge is about in a moment:

Para participar en los retos de Waffle Flower, hay que usar al menos uno de sus productos (tenéis un gran surtido en Up&Scrap) además de la técnica del mes. También nos podemos inspirar en la paleta o en el sketch del mes, aunque no es obligatorio hacerlo.

In order to participate in the Waffle Flower challenges you have to use at least one of their products as well as the technique of the month. You can also draw inspiration from the provided palette or sketch if you want to.

La técnica del mes de febrero es "inlaid die cutting" (troquelado con incrustado). Me encanta esta técnica... aquí tenéis un tutorial por si no sabéis de qué se trata.

The technique of the month of February is inlaid die cutting. I love this technique! Here's a tutorial if you don't know what it is.

Una tarjeta CAS para el reto de diciembre de Waffle Flower - A CAS card for the Waffle Flower December Challenge

Hace unos días publiqué mi "última tarjeta navideña del 2015" sin acordarme de esta tarjeta CAS que hice para el reto de diciembre de Waffle Flower.

A few days ago I posted "my last Christmas card for 2015" without remembering this CAS card that I made for the Waffle Flower December Challenge.

...para hacer un proyecto, usando esta vez, la técnica de "estampación superpuesta". 

...to make a project, using the "Stamp layering" technique.

Cree unos adornos navideños con un sello de círculo sólido y varios sellos del set "Magical", que me encanta! Usando un posicionador de sellos casero, estampé varias veces en el mismo sitio, para conseguir un efecto degradado y unos colores intensos. También apliqué una capa de Wink of Stella transparente en las bolas para darles un poco de brillo. 

 I made a couple of Christmas ornaments using a solid circle stamp and several of the stamps from the set "Magical" which I adore! Using a home-made stamp positioner, I stamped in the same spot several times to achieve an ombre effect and intense colours. I also applied a layer of clear Wink of Stella on the balls to add some shimmer.

Para el fondo estampé las estrellas del "Stocking Stamp Set" y los copos de nieve del set Magical con tinta de pigmento dorada.

For the background I stamped the stars from the "Stocking Stamp Set" and the snow flakes from the Magical set with gold pigment ink.

Para estampar la palabra "Magical" (mágico) cree un degradado usando tintas de pigmento en dorado y en dos tonos de marrón:

Using gold and two shades of brown pigment ink I stamped the word "Magical" with an ombre effect:

Otra tarjeta de monos - Another monkey card

El otro día estrené un precioso set de sellos de Waffle flower e hice esta tarjeta shaker. Me quedé con ganas de más, así que inspirándome en el sketch del reto de noviembre de la misma marca hice esta segunda tarjeta:

The other day I used a beautiful stamp set by Waffle Flower for the first time and made this shaker card. I wanted to work with the stamps some more, so I drew inspiration from the november challenge sketch by the same brand to make a second card:

Fui bastante fiel al sketch aunque cambié los círculos por troquelados parciales de los tres monos... qué simpáticos son! 

I was quite true to the sketch although I changed the circles for three partially die cut monkeys... Aren't they fun?

Para el fondo estampé las piñas y plátanos del mismo set de sellos, "Willie and friends" sobre papel de acuarela con tinta muy clara para conseguir un efecto natural (sin contorno) y los coloree con rotuladores Copic. Después los cubrí con papel de enmascarar y trabajé el fondo con tintas Distress y la técnica de "Ink smooshing". 

For the background I stamped the pineapples and bananas from the same set "Willie and friends" on watercolour paper with light ink in order to achieve a natural looking no-outline colouring with Copic markers. Then I covered them with masking paper and worked on the background with Distress inks and the "ink smooshing" technique.

Para que no resaltase demasiado, lo cubrí con un bonito trozo de vellum con triangulitos dorados de la colección "Wonder" de Crate Paper.

So that it wouldn't stand out too much, I covered it with a piece of beautiful vellum with gold triangles from Crate Paper's "Wonder" collection.

Es difícil mostrar el brillo en una fotografía... aquí se aprecia un poco mejor:

It's difficult to capture the shine in a picture... here you can see it a little bit better:

La tira de washi tape también lleva dorado y me gusta el toque elegante que le da a la tarjeta...

The strip of washitape also has gold in it and I love the touch of elegance that it gives the card...

También usé máscaras para estampar los complementos de los monitos, que coloreé con rotuladores Copic y adorné con un par de enamel dots.

I also used masks to stamp the accessories of the monkeys, which I coloured with Copic markers and embellished with a couple of enamel dots.

Este mono en concreto tiene una cara bastante enigmática... ¿que le estará pasando por la cabeza? Seguramente estará pensando en plátanos, je je ^_^

This monkey has such an enigmatic face... I wonder what it's thinking about... probably about bananas, ha ha ^_^

Esta mona tiene unos ojos muy expresivos como los dibujos japoneses... los cubrí con una capa de Glossy Accents para darles volumen y brillo. El sentimiento es de un set de sellos de Mama Elephant embosado en blanco sobre un bocadillo de madera, previamente entintado con tinta negra.

This monkey has really expressive eyes, like a Japanese cartoon character... I covered them with a layer of Glossy Accents to give them volume and shine. The sentiment is from a stamp set by Mama Elephant which I embossed on a previously inked wood veneer speech bubble. 

Con esta tarjeta también participo en el reto "Hoy jugamos al 3 en raya" de Locas por el Scrap eligiendo la combinación: sellos, acuarelas y vellum de la siguiente tabla:

With this card I also participate in the tic-tac-toe challenge at Locas por el Scrap with the combination: stamps, watercolour and vellum.
