Una tarjeta musical CAS - A musical CAS card

Ya estoy de vuelta con otra tarjeta CAS, esta vez inspirada en una de mis pelis favoritas de todos los tiempos... "Mary Poppins" ^_^

I'm back with another CAS card, this time inspired by one of my favourite movies of all times... "Mary Poppins" ^_^

  

Esta vez he combinado otros dos retos, el CTS #141 de CAS(E) this sketch que nos dejan un boceto realmente chulo para inspirarnos:
This time I've combined another two challenges, CTS#141 at CAS(E) this sketch with this wonderful inspiring sketch: 

y el CFC143 de CAS-ual Fridays cuya temática esta semana es: "musical" una palabra con un sinfín de interpretaciones. Yo me inspiré en el tema de los musicales con los que tanto disfrutaba de pequeña... "Sonrisas y lágrimas", "Grease", etc.

and CFC143 at CAS-ual Fridays whose theme this week is: "musical" a word with enless interpretations. I was inspired by musicals like "Sound of music", "Grease", etc. that I so enjoyed as a child.

Vamos a echar otro vistazo de cerca a mi tarjeta para ver todos los detalles...

Let's take another closer look at my card to appreciate all the details...

Un trozo de washitape que me recuerda al traje de rayas de Bert, el co-protagonista de la película, un cuadrado de papel estampado, un sombrero troquelado muy parecido al de Mary Poppins, un brad en forma de margarita, un aro con la mítica palabra "Supercalifragilisticoespialidoso" en inglés (impreso y troquelado con dos troqueles de círculo), unas pegatinas de letras de purpurina dorada, un cordón dorado y unas pocas lentejuelas.

A strip of washitape that reminds me of Bert's (the male lead character in the movie) striped suit, a die-cut hat that looks a lot like the one that Mary Poppins wore, a daisy-shaped brad, a ring with the epic word "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" (printed and die-cut with two circle dies), a couple of gold glitter letters, a pice of gold cord and some sequins.

Tarjeta CAS con mucho embossing - A CAS card with a lot of embossing

Después de mi última tarjeta me quedé con ganas de trabajar más con el clean and simple y como había un par de retos interesantes en la blogosfera, aproveché para crear un par de tarjetas que os iré enseñando estos días... Aquí tenéis la primera:

After my last card, I felt like working some more with the clean and simple style and since there were a couple of interesting challenges in the blogosphere, I seized the opportunity to make some cards that I will be showing you these days... Here's the first one:

Basé el diseño de la tarjeta en este boceto del reto 139 de CAS(E) this sketch:

I based the design of the card on this sketch from the CAS(E) this sketch challenge #139:

y lo combiné con el reto 47 de AAA cards cuya temática esta vez es el "embossing espectacular". Si os apetece todavía tenéis un par de días para participar.

and combined it with AAA cards' Challenge #47 whose theme this time is "spectacular embossing". If you feel like it, you still have a couple of days left to participate before it ends.

Utilicé una plantilla de gotas de Prima Flowers, tinta Versamark y polvos de embossing blancos para crear un fondo discreto pero divertido. Es difícil captarlo bien en la foto, sobre todo con la luz de una lámpara, pero tiene una textura y un brillo muy chulo.

I used a raindrop stencil by Prima Flowers, Versamark ink and white embossing powder to create a discreet but fun background. It's difficult to capture it in a photograph taken by the light of a lamp, but the texture and shine is really nice.

También embosé el sentimiento: "You saved the day" (Tú salvaste el día) en blanco y lo completé con la palabra "friend" (amigo/a) cortada con el abecedario de Die-namics "Little LC letters". 

I also embossed the sentiment: "You saved the day" in white and completed it with the word "friend", die cut using the "Little LC Letters" die set from Die-namics.

Estuve dudando si añadirle brillo a las letras con Glossy Accents o un poco de Wink of Stella transparente, pero decidí dejarlo así para no restarle más protagonismo al fondo.

I had my doubts about adding a touch of shine to the letters, either with Glossy Accents or clear Wink of Stella, but decided to leave it as is so as not to deduct from the background.

Tarjeta CAS para dos retos - A CAS card for two challenges

No suelo participar en retos basados en un sketch, pero cuando vi la de CAS(E) this sketch de esta semana no me podía resistir e hice esta interpretación bastante literal de la misma:

I don't usually participate in challenges based on sketches, but when I saw the one at CAS(E) this sketch for this week I couldn't resist and made this quite literal interpretation of it:

También me encantó la imagen de inspiración y sobre todo la combinación de colores del primer reto de Pinterest Inspired Challenges. Tenéis hasta el 25 de agosto para participar así que animaros! 

I also loved the inspiration image and especially the colour combination for the first ever challenge at Pinterest Inspired Challenges. You have until August 25 so I encourage you to participate!

Para el fondo usé la técnica de "ink smooching" ("estampar" con un trozo de acetato, tintas Distress y agua). Usé los tonos: Mustard seed y Broken china que me encantan!

For the background I used the ink smootching technique ("stamping" with a piece of acetate, Distress Inks and water). I used the tones Mustard seed and Broken china that I love!

Usé un troquel de Kesi'art para el árbol y otro de La Pareja Creativa para la apertura circular con falsa costura. En principio hice un troquelado parcial para que el árbol estuviese unido al hueco, pero el resultado era muy frágil y no se quedaban bien marcadas las falsas costuras...

I used a Kesi'art die for the tree and another one from La Pareja Creativa for the round opening with the faux stiching. At first I did a partial die-cutting so that the tree would remain attached to the opening, but the result was too fragile and the stiching wasn't embossed enough.
