Tarjeta CAS para dos retos - A CAS card for two challenges

No suelo participar en retos basados en un sketch, pero cuando vi la de CAS(E) this sketch de esta semana no me podía resistir e hice esta interpretación bastante literal de la misma:

I don't usually participate in challenges based on sketches, but when I saw the one at CAS(E) this sketch for this week I couldn't resist and made this quite literal interpretation of it:

También me encantó la imagen de inspiración y sobre todo la combinación de colores del primer reto de Pinterest Inspired Challenges. Tenéis hasta el 25 de agosto para participar así que animaros! 

I also loved the inspiration image and especially the colour combination for the first ever challenge at Pinterest Inspired Challenges. You have until August 25 so I encourage you to participate!

Para el fondo usé la técnica de "ink smooching" ("estampar" con un trozo de acetato, tintas Distress y agua). Usé los tonos: Mustard seed y Broken china que me encantan!

For the background I used the ink smootching technique ("stamping" with a piece of acetate, Distress Inks and water). I used the tones Mustard seed and Broken china that I love!

Usé un troquel de Kesi'art para el árbol y otro de La Pareja Creativa para la apertura circular con falsa costura. En principio hice un troquelado parcial para que el árbol estuviese unido al hueco, pero el resultado era muy frágil y no se quedaban bien marcadas las falsas costuras...

I used a Kesi'art die for the tree and another one from La Pareja Creativa for the round opening with the faux stiching. At first I did a partial die-cutting so that the tree would remain attached to the opening, but the result was too fragile and the stiching wasn't embossed enough.

Otra tarjeta para CAS-ual Fridays - Another card for CAS-ual Fridays

Estoy de vuelta para enseñaros mi segunda tarjeta para el reto de CAS-ual Fridays. Están celebrando su cuarto bloganiversario y el reto consiste en usar los colores de su logo: negro, blanco, turquesa y naranja en un proyecto.

I'm back to show you my second card for the challenge at CAS-ual Fridays. They are celebrating their fourth blogoversary and the challenge consists in using the colors of their logo: black, white, turquoise and orange for a project.

Para esta tarjeta usé una técnica que aprendí en un curso de tarjetería online (puedes leer más sobre ello AQUÍ) que consiste en troquelar formas pequeñas, pegarlas de forma temporal sobre un soporte y troquelar de nuevo usando un troquel más grande. Después se adhieren almohadillas adhesivas a los elementos y se pegan sobre la base de la tarjeta...

For this card I used a technique that I learned from an online card course (you can read more about it HERE) which consists in die cutting small shapes, adhering them temporarily to a base and die cutting them again with a larger die. Then, you attach 3d foam squares to the shapes and glue them to the card panel...

...lo mejor es intentar que los elementos pequeños coincidan en el contorno de la forma grande. Aquí se ve perfectamente que se trata de un corazón, verdad?

...the best thing is to try to make the small elements coincide with the outline of the larger shape. Here you can perfectly see a heart, can't you? 

Para el texto pegué un trozo de cinta de doble cara Sookwang de 5cm de ancho, que es muy fuerte y resistente al calor, en un trozo de cartulina negra antes de pasarlo por la troqueladora (el troquel es de Lawn Fawn). Después lo "embosé" con tinta Versamark y polvos de embossing transparentes para darle brillo y un poco de volumen.

For the text I adhered a strip of  2" double-sided Sookwang tape, it's very strong and heat-resistant, to a piece of black cardstock before running it through my Big Shot (the die is from Lawn Fawn). Then I embossed it with Versamark ink and clear embossing powder to give it some nice shine and volume.

Hoy os muestro una tarjeta para el reto de CAS-ual Fridays en celebración de su cuarto bloganiversario. Había que crear un proyecto CAS (limpio y sencillo) usando los colores negro, blanco, naranja y turquesa (los de su logo). Me gusta este reto porque el naranja y el turquesa son colores opuestos y al ponerlos uno al lado del otro parece que vibran... 

Today I'm showing you a card that I made for the challenge at CAS-ual Fridays to celebrate their fourth "Blogoversary". They asked for a CAS (clean and simple) project with the following colors: black, white, orange and turquoise (the colors of their logo). I like this challenge, because orange and turquoise are opposite colors and when you put them together they seem to vibrate...

Without further ado, here's my card:

El sello y el troquel rectangular con el falso cosido son de la marca Simon Says Stamp. Estampé el sello con tinta Versamark y usé polvos de embossing blancos para enmascarar el texto antes de usar tintas Distress (una mezcla de Broken China y Peacock Feathers) para crear el fondo de acuarela.

The stamp and the rectangular die with the faux stiching are by the Simon Says Stamp brand. I stamped using Versamark ink and used white embossing powder to mask the sentiment before using Distress inks (a blend of Broken China and Peacock Feathers) to create the watercolor background. 

También estampé parte de la letra "B" sobre el globo de cartulina naranja y lo adherí a la base con una almohadilla adhesiva...

I also stamped part of the letter "B" on the orange cardstock balloon and adhered it to the panel with an adhesive foam square...

En esta imagen se aprecia mejor la capa de brillo que añadí al globo con el rotulador Wink of Stella...

In this picture you can better appreciate the layer of clear Wink of Stella that I applied to the balloon...

Como último toque y para cumplir con el reto, un par de cristalitos facetados en negro y el cordón del globo pintado a mano y ya está! As a last touch, and in order to fulfill the challenge requirements, I added a couple of faceted black cristals and the hand-drawn balloon string and that's it! Una tarjeta especial para el segundo reto del año de 3flowers - a special card for 3flowers' second challenge of the year

Esta semana, Manoli Picatúa, una de las reinas del scrapbooking en España, nos propone un reto original a la par de difícil desde el blog de 3flowers; usar al menos tres troqueles de una forma original o diferente a lo que se espera. 

This week, Manoli Picatua, one of Spain's scrapbooking queens, challenges us from the 3flowers blog to make a card using at least three dies in a unique unexpected way.

Yo he usado seis troqueles, tres sellos, una carpeta de embossing, tintas Distress, tinta Versamark, polvos de embossing transparentes y un par de adornos para crear esta locura de tarjeta. Dentro lleva el texto: "Os esperan mil y una noches juntos... que comience la aventura." y acompañará el regalo para unos amigos que se casan y que se van a ir de luna de miel a Marrakech.

I have used six dies, three stamps, an embossing folder, Distress Inks, Versamark ink, transparent embossing powder and a couple of embellishments to create this crazy card. On the inside I have printed the text: "A thousand and one nights together await you... let the adventure begin." The card will accompany my gift for a couple of friends who are getting married and going to spend their honeymoon in Marrakech.
