Una divertida tarjeta masculina para dos retos - A fun masculine card for two challenges

El lunes fue el cumple de mi padre y le hice una tarjeta con un divertido set de sellos de Jane's Doodles. Mi padre no es ni calvo, ni fumador, ni barbudo, pero ama el mar, igual que Simon, el protagonista de esta escena:

It was my father's Birthday on Monday and I made him a card with a fun stamp set by Jane's Doodles. My father is neither bald, nor a smoker and he has no beard, but he loves the sea, just like Simon, the main character of this scene:

Enmascaré los sellos para poder colorear y recortarlos todos juntos...

I masked the stamps so I could color and fussy cut them all at once...

Añadí la textura de madera, las arrugas y los pelos con mis rotuladores Copic.

I added the wood texture, wrinkles and hair with my Copic markers.

Usé el set de troqueles Stitched Whimsical Waves de Die-namics, dos tonos de cartulina y papel de cebolla para las ondas y el troquel In the Clouds (también de Die-namics) para cortar las nubes.

I used dies from the set Stitched Whimsical Waves by Die-namics, cardstock in two tones and vellum to create the waves and dies from the set In the Clouds, also by Die-namics, to die cut the clouds.

Me inspiré en la primera paleta de colores del reto de agosto de Seven Hills Crafts...
I was inspired by the first color palette of the August challenge at Seven Hills Crafts...

...y en la temática del reto 356 de Paper Players: "The great outdoors" (el aire libre), para crear mi tarjeta.

...and the theme of Challenge 356, "The great outdoors" at Paper Players, to create my card.

Mi tercera entrada para My Favorite Things - My third entry for My Favorite Things

Agosto llega a su fin... un mes lleno de nervios y satisfacciones, ya que he tenido la oportunidad de crear tarjetas para una de mis marcas favoritas. Muchísimas gracias por vuestro apoyo y comentarios, queridas lectoras y compañeras. 

August is reaching its end... a month filled with strong emotions for me since I´ve had the opportunity to create cards for one of my favorite brands. Thank you so much for your support and comments, dear readers. 

Pero antes de despedirme de My Favorite Things, os muestro aquí una de mis dos últimas tarjetas, elaborada con productos de la colección de agosto, con más detalle.

But before saying goodbye to My Favorite Things, I´ll show you one of the last two cards that I made using products from the August collection, in detail.

Mi primera tarjeta de hoy es una divertida versión del arca de Noé, que cree con los sellos del set The Whole Herd, del año pasado. Jajaja, la mayoría de los animales no parecen estar muy a gusto en ese barquito...

My first card for today is a fun version of Noah´s ark that I made with stamps from last years The Whole Herd set. Ha ha ha... only the goat seems to be enjoying himself!

Será porque el mar, cortado con el nuevo set Die-namics Stiched Whimsical Waves, está bastante bravo? Para esta tarjeta entinté ligeramente los bordes de las olas con tinta Distress Broken China.

Maybe it´s because the sea, die cut using the Die-namics Stiched Whimsical Waves die set, is quite rough. For this card, I lightly inked the edges of the waves with Broken China Distress ink.

En esta foto se aprecia mejor la textura del barquito, que troquelé parcialmente con uno de los troqueles del set Die-namics Sailboat, para ensancharlo un pelín. También se puede ver que apliqué Glossy Accents en la nariz del cerdo, en el pico de la gallina y en la campana de la cabra.

In this picture you can see the nice texture of the boat that I widened by partially die cutting one of the dies from the set Die-namics Sailboat. You can also see the touches of Glossy Accents that I added to the pig's snout, the chicken's beak and the goat's bell.

Tarjeta CAS con degradado - A CAS card with an ombre effect

Tenía ganas de hacer una tarjeta CAS (limpia y sencilla) y cuando vi que la temática del último reto de 3flowers, propuesto por Cris, era el degradado o efecto "ombre" sabía que acabaría haciendo algo relacionado con el mar, seguramente influenciada por su preciosa tarjeta... Aquí tenéis el resultado:

I have been wanting to make a CAS card for a while and when I saw that the latest challenge of 3flowers, suggested by Cris, was about the ombre effect, I knew I wanted to make something water-related, probably influenced by her beautiful card... Here's the result:

Utilicé un troquel de Mama Elephant (Basic set creative cuts) para cortar el panel blanco y las cuatro capas de cartulina azul...

I used a die by Mama Elephant from the Basic set creative cuts to cut the white panel and the four layers of blue cardstock...

El velero de madera fue un regalo de Rosa de Scrap con R (tenía muchas ganas de usarlo en algún proyecto) y el "hola" es de Yoy scrap...
The sailboat was a gift from Rosa from the blog Scrap con R (I really wanted to use it in a project) and the "hello" is from Yoy Scrap...

Ya veis, no puede ser más sencilla, aunque debería haber jugado con el negativo de la onda para que las tiras pareciesen olas... ¡Qué tengáis un buen fin de semana! Hasta la próxima!
