Una tarjeta navideña interactiva para el Diario de Navidad - An interactive Christmas card for DN

Hola, no suelo publicar los fines de semana, pero hoy es un día especial ya que me han invitado a pasar por el Diario de Navidad. Es el broche final a una semana emocionante en el que nuestro proyecto Tarjeteamos ha visto la luz.
I usually don't post during the weekends, but this is a very special occasion since I've been invited to the blog Diario de Navidad (Christmas Journal). It's a great ending to an exciting week in which our creative project Tarjeteamos (online card classes in Spanish) has been launched.

Una dulce tarjeta slider para La Pareja Creativa - A sweet slider card for LPC

¡Hola! Empiezo el mes de octubre con mucha energía y una tarjeta para el reto mensual de La Pareja Creativa. Esta vez Tina nos pide que creemos un proyecto interactivo y yo hice esta dulce tarjeta slider para felicitar a una amiga scrapera por su cumple...

Hi there! I'm starting October with lots of energy and a card for the monthly challenge at La Pareja Creativa. This time Tina asks us to make an interactive project, so I made this sweet slider card for a crafty friend's Birthday...

Tenía muchas ganas de estrenar algunos de los nuevos productos de La Pareja Creativa, como esos ositos tan adorables del set de sellos Osos Amigos. Quise retarme a crear una escena nocturna, así que los coloree en tonos oscuros, para acompañar al cielo estrellado del set de troqueles Noche Estrellada.

I was dying to try LPC's new products, like the adorable bears from the set Friendly Bears. I wanted to create a night time scene, so I colored them in dark tones that also suited the starry sky, cut with the Starry Night dies.

Como podéis ver en el gif animado, las estrellas se iluminan al tirar de la solapa... Usé este mismo efecto (lo llamo "Chibitronics lowcost", ji ji ji) para encender las luces de las casas en ESTA tarjeta navideña, que os mostré en el blog de La Pareja Creativa el año pasado.

As you can see from the animated gif, the stars light up, when you pull the tag... I used this same effect (I call it "Lowcost Chibitronics" ha ha ha) to turn on the house lights in THIS Christmas card that I showed you on LPC's blog last year.

El efecto se consigue con una simple tira de cartulina amarilla, adherida al panel slider. Una de las flechas del nuevo set de troqueles Flechas, me vino fenomenal para la solapita que cree con el troquel más pequeño del set Círculos Cosidos.

The effect is achieved with a simple strip of yellow cardstock glued to the slider panel. One of the arrows from the new die set Arrows, was perfect for the tag that I created with the smallest die from the set Stitched Circles.

Para el sentimiento usé el nuevo troquel Felicidades 2, ¡que me encanta! Por último añadí un par de flores troqueladas con el set Flores Navideñas (unos troqueles muy versátiles) en el mismo tono que la bufanda de uno de los ositos.

My sentiment was cut with the new die Felicidades 2, which I love! As a last detail, I added a couple of flowers cut with the set Christmas Flowers (a very versatile set of dies) in the same color as the bear's scarf.

Una tarjeta sencilla para MFT - A Clean and Simple card for My Favorite Things

Hoy os muestro una tarjeta CAS con sorpresa para el reto 2017 Card Design Superstar: Clean and Simple Genius. Mi espacio blanco en este caso es negro y mi tarjeta no lleva ni adornos ni muchos elementos...

Today I'm showing you a CAS card with a surprise feature that I made for the 2017 Card Design Superstar: Clean and Simple Genius. My white space in this case is black and my card has no embellishments and very few elements...

Estaréis pensando: "ni siquiera lleva un mensaje". Pero cuando tiramos de la luna...

You're probably thinking: "it doesn't even have a sentiment". But if you pull at the moon...

...aparece el mensaje "eres mi sol" y la noche se convierte en amanecer! Se trata de una tarjeta slider especial, ya que todo el panel se desliza.

...the sentiment "You're the sunshine in my life" appears and the night turns into dawn! It's a special slider card since the whole panel slides.

He usado el troquel Die-namics NY Skyline en dos alturas para crear la silueta de esta mítica ciudad. Para que pareciesen edificios diferentes, recorté algunas repisas y chimeneas, sobre todo modifiqué al Empire State Building... 

I used the Die-namics NY Skyline in two rows to create the silhouette of this great city. In order to make them look like different buildings, I  cut a few towers and ledges off. I especially modified the Empire State Building.

Entinté el borde de las siluetas y la luna, del set de troqueles Die-namics LJD Spooky Sweets, con tinta plateada. El sentimiento, del set de sellos Soak up the Fun está embossado en plata sobre ese cielo entintado con tintas Distress en papel de acuarela.

I inked the edges of the skylines and the moon, from the set Die-namics LJD Spooky Sweets, with silver ink. I also embossed the sentiment from the stamp set Soak up the Fun in silver on the waterpaper panel, that I had previously inked with Distress inks.

Os voy a revelar el truco del mecanismo, sin entrar en muchos detalles: 

Here' a brief look at the mechanism:

Corté un panel rectangular 1,2cm más corto que la base de mi tarjeta y usé uno de los banners del set de troqueles Die-namics Blueprints 28 para cortar dos ranuras paralelas en el mismo. 

I cut a rectangular panel, half an inch shorter than my cardbase and used one of the banners from the Die-namics Blueprints 28 to cut two parallel grooves in it.

También troquelé dos rectángulos cosidos con el troquel Die-namics Essential Cover-Up Vertical y adherí dos trozos de palito de helado en uno de ellos. ¡Encajaban perfectamente en las ranuras del anterior panel! 

I also cut two rectangles with the Die-namics Essential Cover-Up Vertical die and adhered two pieces of popsicle sticks to one of them. They fit perfectly in the grooves of the previous panel!

Hice el siguiente sandwich de abajo a arriba: base de tarjeta + rectángulo cosido con los palitos + panel con las ranuras (adherido a la base de la tarjeta con almohadillas) + 2º rectángulo cosido + panel de acuarela.

I stacked the elements in the following manner: card base + rectangle with the popsicle sticks + panel with the grooves (glued to the cardbase with foam adhesive) + second rectangle + watercolor panel.

Adherí el skyline directamente a la base de la tarjeta con almohadillas adhesivas en el extremo inferior para que no interfiriese con el mecanismo y listo.

I put a strip of foam adhesive on the lower end of the cardbase and attached the skyline to it, so that it wouldn't interfere with the mecanism and voilá.

Una simpática tarjeta interactiva para La Pareja Creativa

Hoy en el blog de La Pareja Creativa, os muestro una tarjeta interactiva que llevo tiempo queriendo hacer... Por fin pude solucionar el mecanismo, que me traía de cabeza, y hoy os lo cuento todo... Haciendo clic sobre la foto, llegaréis en un plis ;)

Tarjeta cumpleañera interactiva - An interactive Birthday card

Este año el dicho "en abril, aguas mil" no se está cumpliendo aquí en Galicia, ya que está siendo el abril más seco de la historia. Aún así me inspiré en el reto de Paper Smooches, "April Showers", para crearle esta divertida tarjeta cumpleañera a una querida amiga scrapera.

This year the month of April has been very dry here in Galicia, but nevertheless, I was inspired by the "April Showers" Paper Smooches challenge to create this fun, interactive Birthday card for a dear crafty friend.

Con algo de estampación parcial, convertí el científico loco del set de sellos "Great Chemistry" en un entusiasmado pintor en pleno proceso creativo.

Thanks to some partial stamping, I transformed the crazy professor from the stamp set "Great Chemistry" into a flustered, brush-wielding painter.

Ji ji ji, ¿qué os ha parecido? A pesar de que no fui capaz de alinear perfectamente el pincel con el arcoíris (no quise acortar el brazo más), me gusta mucho el efecto.... casi "da el pego" ;)

Ha ha ha, what do you think? Even though I wasn't able to perfectly align the brush with the rainbow (I didn't want to make the rotating arm any shorter), I like the effect...

El mecanismo es realmente sencillo... Utilicé el troquel "Rainbow", también de Paper Smooches, para troquelar una ventana en el panel y para cortar las tiras que forman el arcoíris. Tanto el brazo como el disco están sujetos con un encuadernador (brad) al panel. El brazo está adherido al disco dentado con almohadillas adhesivas de tal manera que al girarlo, los dos elementos se mueven a la par.
The mechanism is really simple. I used the "Rainbow" die, also by Paper Smooches, for cutting a window out of the card panel, and for the rainbow itself. Both the arm and the disc are attached to the card panel with a small brad. The arm is also glued to the pinked disc with foam adhesive so that they can rotate together.

El divertido personaje, coloreado con rotuladores Copic, está pegado con almohadillas adhesivas aunque no lleva ninguna detrás de la cabeza para que el brazo pueda girar libremente.
The fun character, colored with Copic markers, is glued to the card panel with foam adhesive. I didn't put any behind his head so that the arm can rotate freely.

Renos interactivos graciosos - Funny interactive reindeer

Hoy me paso por aquí muy rapidito para enseñaros un par de tarjetas interactivas que hice con el gracioso set de troqueles "Reindeer" de Paper Smooches...

Today I wanted to stop by really quickly to show you a couple of interactive cards that I made using the "Reindeer" die set by Paper Smooches...

Podemos adivinar que cuando se tira del corazón, aparecerá un mensaje en el bocadillo, pero la tarjeta tiene un elemento sorpresa...

We can totally guess that a message will appear in the speech bubble when the heart tab is pulled, but the card has a surprise element...

Ja ja ja... ¿qué os ha parecido? Este reno hablador tiene la lengua muy larga ;) Vamos a verlo de cerca.

Ha ha ha, what did you think? This reindeer sure has a sharp (and long) tongue ;) Let's have a closer look.

He aprovechado un sencillo mecanismo slider para mostrar un mensaje oculto, pero también para introducir un elemento gracioso.

I used a very simple slider mechanism to show a hidden sentiment (Merry Christmas), but also to introduce a funny element.

La lengua está cortada con uno de los troqueles del set "Tooth Fairy", también de Paper Smooches. Creo que se trata de una especie de banner, pero no lo tengo muy claro:

I cut the tongue using one of the dies from the Paper Smooches "Tooth Fairy" set. I think the shape is a sort of banner, but I'm not sure:

He sacado fotos del paso a paso y si os interesa, cuando tenga algo de tiempo, prepararé un tutorial... De momento os dejo un gif animado de la tarjeta y el enlace al reto de diciembre de Paper Smooches en el que participo.

Tarjeta monocromática interactiva para Up & Scrap - A monochromatic interactive card for Up & Scrap

Hoy estoy de vuelta con otro proyecto que tenía pendiente para Up & Scrap, ya que me propuse participar en todos sus retos, aunque sea con retraso. Se trata de su reto de septiembre; ¡Colorín colorado, los colores se han acabado! He creado esta divertida tarjeta de cumpleaños en tonos verdes:
Today I'm back with another pending project for Up & Scrap. Back in January, I decided to participate in all of their challenges, even after the deadline. I made this fun Birthday card in green tones for their Monochromatic September Challenge. 

Para ello usé dos sets de sellos de My Favorite Things, "You're Rawr-some" y "Birthday Bears". También usé algunos de los troqueles del set "Wild greenery" y un troquel viejo llamado "Fresh cut grass" para la vegetación.
I used stamps from two My Favorite Things sets; "You're Rawr-some" and "Birthday Bears". I also used some of the dies from the sets "Wild greenery" and an old die called "Fresh cut grass" to make the vegetation.

A continuación vamos a ver el elemento interactivo. Supongo que ya habréis adivinado dónde está...
Now let's have a look at the interactive element. I suppose you've already guessed where it is...

Jajaja, el T-rex está tan emocionado por su cumple, que no ha podido evitar comerse uno de los regalos...
Hahaha, the T-rex is so excited over his birthday, that he swallowed one of the presents...

A pesar de ser un mecanismo muy sencillo, me dio muchos quebraderos de cabeza... quería solucionar el movimiento de otra manera más elegante, con un disco oculto detrás del panel, pero al final opté por una tira de acetato sujeta al banner con el sentimiento.
Even though the mechanism is really simple, it gave me a headache... I wanted to come up with a more elegant solution, using a hidden rotating disk, but opted for attaching an acetate strip to the sentiment.

Añadí un par de enamels verdes a la tarjeta, sobre todo para disimular el brad de la cara del dinosaurio, unos toques con bolígrafo de gel en blanco y negro y listo.
I added a couple of green enamel dots to the card (to try to hide the green brad in the dinosaur's face), a couple of dots with a white and a black gel pen and that's it.

Espero que os haya gustado... me moría de ganas de añadirle algún toque en otro color, pero estoy bastante contenta con el resultado. ¡Hasta pronto!

Tarjeta de otoño interactiva - Interactive autumn card

Ya sabéis que últimamente no he parado de hacer tarjetas interactivas y hoy os muestro una más que espero que os guste...

Lately I've been making quite a few interactive cards. I hope you like my latest creation...

Como siempre he usado un mecanismo muy simple, se trata de una tarjeta "slider" pero esta vez el panel deslizante es de acetato. Vamos a verla en acción...

As always, I've used a very simple mechanism. This is actually a slider card with a twist, since the sliding panel is made of acetate. Let's see it in action...

Cuando deslizamos el panel, las hojas se "caen" desvelando el sentimiento oculto: "You're awesome" (eres genial) y cubriendo a ese pollito tan mono. 

When we slide the panel, the leaves "fall" revealing the hidden sentiment and covering the cute little chick.

Nunca se me hubiese ocurrido usar estos colores para una tarjeta otoñal, pero me inspiré en los siguientes retos de octubre y me encanta el resultado...

I would have never thought of using purple tones for an autumn card, but I was inspired by the following October challenges and I love the result...

El reto de Seven Hills Crafts nos ofrece tres paletas preciosas. Obviamente me inspiré en la primera y además usé los siguientes productos de Paper Smooches, a la venta en su tienda online y en la de Paper Smooches: Leaves 1 Dies (las hojas), set de sellos Space Cadet (parte del sentimiento), set de sellos Cute Fruit (parte del sentimiento) y set de sellos Chubby Chums (el pollito).

The monthly challenge at Seven Hills Crafts offers us three beautiful palettes of which I chose the first one. I also used the above-mentioned Paper Smooches products, sold at their online shop as well as in the Paper Smooches online shop.

El reto de Paper Smooches: Fall Color Story nos invita a jugar con su paleta de 8 colores. Yo usé cinco gracias a un pack de cartulinas texturizadas de Do Crafts - Paper Mania (Premium Textured Cardstock) que tengo.

The challenge at the Paper Smooches blog invites us to play with eight lovely colours. I used five thanks to a Do Crafts - Paper Mania textured cardstock selection that I have.

En esta foto podemos apreciar mejor las diferentes texturas... el marco de cartulina kraft con textura de madera, cortado con troqueles de La Pareja Creativa, las hojas (entintadas con tintas Distress) y el sentimiento embossado en platino.

In this close-up we can see all of the different textures that I used... the kraft frame with wood texture cut with LPC dies, the leaves (inked with Distress Inks) and the platinum embossed sentiment.
